It is a load cell/mounting accessory combination for high-accuracy weighing of large silos, tanks and feed hoppers. It is the perfect solution for many high-capacity applications in harsh washdown environments or hazardous areas where there is a risk of explosion. Its special certification allows use in ATEX dust zones 20, 21, 22 and gas zone 2 without the need for safety barriers – saving our customers significant amounts of money.

Manufactured from high-strength 17-4PH stainless steel and available in capacities from 2,000kg (2 tonnes) to 200,000kg (200 tonnes). For over 20 years it has been recognised as a world-leading load cell for high-capacity weighing thanks to its fully welded and hermetically sealed design, IP68 and IP69K protection and both ATEX and IECEx approval.

The high-strength, robust alloy steel mounting accessory is available in zinc-plated as standard, with a choice of galvanised, special paint or stainless steel construction. Integrated holding bolts facilitate routine maintenance and simpler installation for capacities up to 75 tons. This eliminates the need for expensive installation work, providing a very cost-effective overall solution.

The VC3500 was originally designed to offer high resistance to earthquakes and high winds, so its robust design can withstand significant lateral, longitudinal, vertical and lift forces. Therefore, in most cases, no additional restraining devices are required.
